The Service Children Support Network’s (SCSN’s) children’s art competition, 2011

The Service Children Support Network (SCSN) is holding an art competition for children whose parents are currently serving in the forces. The theme is ‘Through the eyes of a service child’, and children up to the age of 18 are invited to submit a painting or drawing that reflects this theme. 


Entries should be created on A4-sized paper, and the artist’s name, age, address and school or college should be written on the back. There are four age categories (5 and under; 6 to 9 years; 10 to 13 years; and 14 to 18 years), and prizes will be awarded to those who come first, second and third in each category.


The closing date is 1 June 2011, and entries should be sent c/o Joy O’Neill, SCSN, 24 High Moors, Halton, Aylesbury, Bucks HP22 5NY. Entries will be judged by representatives of Combat Stress, the RAF Families Federation and the Child Bereavement Charity.
